Job description

Yellow Dog Software is seeking a motivated and organized Business Development Representative (BDR) to support the sales organization through lead qualification, discovery, proposal preparation, CRM administration, and client follow-up. This role is designed for an early-career professional or recent college graduate interested in building a long-term career in B2B software sales. This is an in office position in our Norfolk, VA HQ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inbound and outbound qualification calls with prospective clients.
  • Schedule discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and follow-up conversations for the sales team.
  • Support Sales Executives with proposal generation, quoting, pricing documentation, and contract preparation.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing sales presentations, demo materials, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within the CRM system.
  • Track prospect activity, follow-up tasks, and sales pipeline progression.
  • Coordinate client communication and ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Learn Yellow Dog Software products, workflows, and supported industries to effectively communicate value to prospects.
  • Partner with leadership and sales staff to support prospecting campaigns and lead generation activities.
  • Help maintain internal sales processes, documentation, and operational consistency across the sales organization.
