Comprehensive Community Services Clinical Intern

Behavioral Health Services

Hourly Pay: $15.00

Job Summary: Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is seeking a Social Work or Counseling intern to be involved in the clinical aspects of onboarding consumers into the CCS program. The intern will work within Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) CCS, and provide support, technical assistance, and quality assistance to CCS branch offices.

This internship requires a minimum of 16 hours per week for at least a duration of (2) semesters. Direct clinical hours are not provided for this placement.

Essential Responsibilities:ย 

  • Perform Assessments and Screening via the CCS phone line. Talk with potential CCS referrals, complete screening for eligibility, and assign to Care Coordination agencies.
  • Attend CCS Meetings and Trainings. Partake in various meetings to foster better understanding of the available community-based services, CCS Thursday Staffingโ€™s, MHP, All Provider, and other meetings or trainings as assigned.
  • Perform Audit and Reports. Audit paperwork (charts) and run reports to support agencies MHP/SAP and leadership. Inform staff of items that need to be completed. Assist in the quarterly auditing process.
  • Receive ongoing scheduled supervision from a direct supervisor/licensed staff member.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.ย 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid United States Driverโ€™s License and Insurance, both able to be maintained throughout employment.ย 
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelorโ€™sย program in Social Work, Rehab Psychology, Human Services, or a closely related field.
  • At least one (1) year of Behavioral Health experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficientย with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.).
  • Comfortable using databases and Electronic Health Records.
  • Willing and able to travel within the community up to 5% of the time.
