Job Description
As the Social Services Director you would be responsible for the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and Company policies and procedures to assist each resident and family adjust to placement, illness, and plan of care so as to attain the highest practicable level of functioning.
Qualifications for Social Services Director:
• Must complete a certificate class and possess a certificate in social service
• A minimum of two years' experience working with geriatric and rehabilitating residents, in a health care setting
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively to resident, responsible party/significant others and to staff members as well as to other community agencies

• A working knowledge of the basic services provided by skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, board and care homes, and other health and social service organizations in the community.
• Ability to assist residents in completing the form in applying for medical benefits or recertification for medical

• Ability to handle confidential data discretely
• Ability to present reports both verbally and in writing
Required experience:
  • BSW or BSN
  • Social Services: 2 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • CPR/BLS Certified
