Position Summary: The Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging instruction that promotes academic achievement, personal growth, and the well-being of all students. This role requires fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and administrators to support the school’s mission. Through innovative teaching, effective assessment, and strong communication, the Teacher ensures students are prepared to win their future - in school and beyond. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment where student-athletes are encouraged to achieve their holistic potential. 

  • Design, implement, and adapt instructional activities that align with curriculum standards and foster active, meaningful student learning. 

  • Develop, administer, and analyze assessments to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and ensure continuous growth toward learning objectives. 

  • Differentiate instruction by identifying, selecting, and modifying resources to meet the needs of student-athletes with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. 

  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and self-discipline in accordance with school policies. 

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including grades, attendance, and other documentation required by laws, accreditation standards, and school regulations. 

  • Communicate consistently and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress, needs, and achievements. 

  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance instruction and student engagement. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning opportunities to support school initiatives and ongoing professional growth. 

  • Model high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions with students, families, and the community. 

  • Support school events, extracurricular activities, and other duties that contribute to a positive school community. 

  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area 

  • Strong classroom management skills required 

  • Highly organized; flexible in meeting the needs of boarding students and their families  

  • Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans that meet the needs of a diverse student population 

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues. 

  • Technologically savvy 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in relevant subject area 

  • Experience working with student athletes 

  • Former student-athlete 

  • International education experience 

  • Bilingual 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs. 

  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. 

  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
