The Ochsner Neuroscience Institute is the main neuroscience quaternary care referral center in the Gulf South. Our 100 plus physicians and APPs including over 60 neurologists and neuropsychologists, 20 neurosurgeons, 10 physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists and many others bring medical advances, clinical trials and innovations available nowhere else to our patients and communities.
The Neurosurgery Department is the largest academic group in the region with full subspecialty coverage for both pediatric and adult neurosurgical pathologies. We are not only the largest, but also the most diverse department in the region with strong female and ethnic minority representation within both departmental and institutional leadership.

Position Details:

  • We are seeking a spine fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with a specific interest in minimally invasive spine. Endoscopic and robotic expertise would be welcomed.
  • We are looking for a neurosurgeon who wants to lead and grow an ASC-based spine practice in the greater New Orleans community
  • Full support of complex spine colleagues as well as pain management and PM&R
  • Sharing call at quaternary care center with full resident and APP coverage
  • Academic appointment(s) available with ability to work with residents and fellows
  • Full participation in all departmental academic/CME activities including weekly case conferences/grand rounds and monthly M&M
  • Research and clinical trial support
