About the Role:
As aย Social Media Intern, youโ€™ll be an integral part of a collaborative, agile team. Youโ€™ll collaborate on creative initiatives, contribute to social media strategy, and help ensure brand consistency while driving audience engagement. The intern position reports to the Director, Strategic Brand & Client Engagement and will be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

  • Assist with the creation of social media campaigns.
  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets.
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
  • Write social media captions that speak to the companyโ€™s target audience.
  • Help create and edit short-form videos.
  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots.
  • Ensure brand message is consistent.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

Full time students, we built this internship to work around your semester. Start at 10-20 hours/week, flex up during breaks or summer if you want more, and stay on with us across multiple semesters.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong communication both verbally and in writing, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or with teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and social media platforms preferred.
  • Proactive attitude with interest in marketing, branding, and storytelling.
