Snowmass Club is looking for a Facilities Engineer 3 who brings advanced technical knowledge, leadership on the ground, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning property.

What You’ll Do

Technical Expertise & Maintenance
• Perform advanced maintenance and repairs across building systems
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including thermostats and programming
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
• Complete general repairs including carpentry, drywall, painting, and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex facility and equipment issues
• Utilize Building Automation Systems (BAS) where applicable

Facilities Operations
• Maintain club buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to high standards
• Ensure all systems are operating safely and efficiently
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
• Use and maintain power tools and specialized equipment safely

Leadership & Team Support
• Promote a positive and professional work environment
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Represent the Engineering Department when leadership is not present
• Communicate effectively with all departments and team members

Administrative & Safety Responsibilities
• Document work orders and communicate updates clearly
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazards
• Ensure safety of members, guests, staff, and property at all times
• Respond effectively in emergency situations

What You Bring
• High School diploma or GED required
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in a commercial or institutional setting preferred
• Strong HVAC experience or certification highly preferred
• Post-secondary technical training (electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry) a plus
• Working knowledge of multiple trades and building systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred
• Knowledge of local and national building codes preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


Certifications (Preferred)
• EPA 608 Certification
• HVAC Certification
• Additional trade or technical certifications


Physical Requirements & Work Environment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to mechanical systems, chemicals, noise, and temperature extremes
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including snow removal
