Job description

As a leader and innovator in the snack food industry for over 50 years, J&J Snack Foods provides branded snack foods to foodservice and retail supermarket outlets across the U.S. Its products include such icons as SUPERPRETZEL, ICEE, and Dippin' Dots along with other key brands like LUIGI'S Real Italian Ice, The Funnel Cake Factory Funnel Cakes, and Hola Churros. J&J also has a strong presence in bakery providing cakes, cookies, and pies to some of the largest grocery and convenience retailers in industry. Our company continues to deliver record sales led by a talented team and a commitment to "Fun Served Here".
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming COAs against specification and save for document retention
  • Review and save production paperwork
  • Maintain facilities Kosher product and ingredient list
  • Maintain facilities approved supplier list
  • Perform routine swabbing of equipment
  • Monitor facility temperatures and escalate issues as needed
  • Review pre-op data and alert management of issues
  • Review and sign CCP documentation as site PCQI representative
  • Conduct GMP and SQF audits as assigned by supervison and management
  • Maintain qualification on QA Tech responsibilities to provide coverage during tech absences
  • Project work as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Maintain General Lab housekeeping.
  • Follows all OSHA safety rules, GMPs, and all food safety laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Experience:
2 years as QA Technician in the food industry
Technical:
  • PCQI Certified (or completion of training within 30 days)
  • HACCP Certified (or completion of training within 30 days)
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment (balance, pH meter, etc.)

US Hourly Pay Range
$22-$22 USD
