Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Reporting to the Workforce Planning & Business Analyst, the Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and managing all vacant requisitions (Salaried, General Labour, Trades) within remote services division. Supported by the Workforce Planning & Business Analyst you will collaborate with Vice President Emerging Markets & Strategic Development, Senior Managers and Human Resources to fill our recruitment pipeline and attract key talent that aligns with the Dexterra's brand.

In the role of Recruiter, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting; from developing postings, sourcing and screening candidates, phone interviewing, and participating in onboarding of new employees.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE:

  • Diligently screen qualified candidates through resume review and phone screen.
  • Conduct recruitment planning conversations with hiring managers.
  • Determining the appropriate sourcing channels for job postings and recommend ways to recruit for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Create a candidate pipeline for future recruitment needs.
  • Create performance-based phone interview questions for hourly field based roles.
  • Verify with HR and Workforce Planning & Business Analyst for offer letter details; wage, start date, orientation times background and D&A testing.
  • Create and send accurate offer letters; participate and lead in offer presentations.
  • Ensure all new hire onboarding documents are sent to chosen candidates and completed within timeframe.
  • Participate and run  new hire orientations 
  • Participate in various recruitment related information sessions and career fairs to enhance the Dexterra remote workforce employer brand and promote career opportunities.
  • Manage an up-to-date recruitment tracking spreadsheet and utilize Smart Recruiters, applicant tracking system (ATS), for full cycle recruitment and candidate management.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources or relevant field is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in high volume recruiting for industrial/skilled trades for multiple locations.
  • High level of professional and timely customer service both internally and externally is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage high volume recruitment and create candidate pipeline in tight labour markets.
  • Initiative to develop creative solutions to recruitment challenges and to be effective at sourcing for both active and passive candidates.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the Human Resources team and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working  with Smart Recruiters is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and MS Outlook.
