Job description

Job Details:

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Starting pay rate: $16.70/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday (6am/7am - 4pm/5pm) Day shift


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Place individual trays onto the conveyor belt

  • Pull/push 5-8 pounds of product towards work area

  • Select quality product from the conveyor to place into a tray

  • Discard pieces of Smart Chicken that do not meet quality standards to rework

  • Place 1 to 2 pieces of Smart Chicken in the tray

  • Keep work area clean

  • Follow all SOP's for your area

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong hand/eye coordination

  • Good upper extremity motor skills

  • Ability to rotate job functions

  • Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment

  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to take direction and learn by observing others


Physical / Environment:

  • Stand: Continuously (8 or more hours)

  • Grasp: Continuously (picking up product to place on trays)

  • Pull/Push: Occasionally (5-8 lbs. of product toward work area)

  • Lift: Continuously (2-12 ounces) Occasionally (up to 20-30 lbs.)

Other Physical Requirements:

  • Continuously reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft)

  • Bend Continuously over conveyor belt while placing product on trays

  • Physical Environment: Continuously work around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (below 40 degrees F).
