Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning all age groups using standardized assessments and observation methodologies.
• Design individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work hand-in-hand with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish a harmonious care approach.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of treatment.
• Keep accurate, timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue educational advancements through ongoing training and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment initiation.
