Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-driven Inventory Business Analyst to join our manufacturing inventory team. This role will be instrumental in optimizing inventory operations through data analysis, reporting, business intelligence tools, and operational auditing. The ideal candidate will transform complex inventory data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, support strategic decision-making, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements in warehouse operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports; manage and deliver monthly and quarterly inventory reports to leadership
  • Review daily operational reports, identify performance trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to supervisors for continuous improvement
  • Conduct inventory analysis including turns, mispicks, high/low volume parts, aging, velocity, and stock level optimization
  • Audit picker and stocker performance for accuracy and efficiency; investigate error root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Analyze fast-moving materials to optimize warehouse layout; collaborate with leadership to reorganize storage locations, positioning high-volume items within the pulling strike zone closest to kitting
  • Develop strategies to utilize aisle 60 more effectively to reduce material sent to PL; recommend slotting improvements based on pick frequency
  • Partner with Candace and her team to implement SAP changes based on analytical findings and system configuration requirements
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies and coordinate resolution; support cycle counting and physical inventory processes
  • Create interactive Power BI dashboards for real-time visibility and develop automated reporting solutions
  • Ensure compliance with defense industry regulations; maintain documentation of analytical methodologies, audit procedures, and reporting standards

Qualifications:

  • Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful patterns
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles (FIFO, EOQ, safety stock, reorder points)
  • Experience with warehouse slotting optimization and material flow analysis
  • Experience calculating and interpreting inventory metrics (turns, days on hand, fill rates, pick accuracy)
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis on operational inefficiencies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
