Job Title: Flumer Operator
Location: Park Rapids, MN
Compensation: $22.17 per hour - paid weekly

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Flumer Operators for a leading leading supplier in the food industry located in Park Rapids, MN. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and want reliable hours with weekly pay, this job could be a great fit. Read below for more information! What You'll Do as the Flumer Operator:

  • Safely operate within the plant, following all safe?work and HAACP procedures
  • Unload belt trucks and hoppers, and manage the fluming process to move potatoes
  • Operate pumps, metering wheels, flume pipes, skimmers, gates, and related water?transfer equipment
  • Use PanelView for communication and basic operation; start/stop lines and adjust belt speeds
  • Maintain accurate records (truck logs, belt speeds, raw percentages, documentation with QA)
  • Clean belts, pits, metering wheels, tanks, and perform general sanitation duties
  • Troubleshoot and respond to equipment failures, power outages, and E?stop situations
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors and participate in continuous improvement activities (5S, CIL, CL, RCA)

What You Need to Bring:

  • Ability to understand and perform all essential job functions listed in the role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
  • Basic math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram?based instructions
  • Physically capable of frequent lifting (10โ€“50 pounds), push/pull up to 100 pounds, and continuous standing/walking with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Comfortable working in a wet, noisy, humid, and machinery?heavy environment with proper PPE
  • Ability to work a rotating 12?hour schedule (2?2?3 pattern) with occasional overtime
