What You Will Do
  • This position will serve on a team of individuals which will develop and implement international student recruitment strategies. This includes the development of long term market cultivation strategies and building relationships internationally that will support these strategies. Activities include the day to day implementation of direct recruitment communications and overall integrated marketing efforts across the globe.
  • The position will support both undergraduate and graduate academic departments in the development and ongoing implementation of customized recruitment programs targeted at diverse international student populations. This will involve developing relationships with feeder institutions by visiting these campuses for recruitment related events, and establishing partnerships that create pathways for their students to graduate programs at SIUE. It will also involve working with international recruitment agencies and working closely with their offices to build brand awareness and assist prospective students.
  • The position will work collaboratively with International Student and Scholar Services and the admissions office to ensure students are able to secure visas to study in the U.S. and on activities that support yield and retention efforts.
  • This position will be required to travel in support of the international recruitment plan.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree
AND
-2+ years' experience in any combination of the following areas of higher education-university student recruitment or admissions, student services or international student and scholar services, student orientation or onboarding, academic advising, international education and/or English language training
OR Master's Degree in any field plus 1 year of experience in one of the above listed areas
-Ability to secure a passport and travel internationally required.
Preferred Qualifications
-Working with international students or in an international setting.
-Knowledge of U.S. immigration regulations relating to student visas.
-Experience with Slate CRM or with marketing and communication platforms.
