Job description

Kaiva Services is seeking a Site Superintendent in Ft. Belvoir, VA Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week Clearance/Access: Active Secret Clearance required Contract Length: Approximately 3 months Travel: Regional Travel as required Position Summary The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities of the construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. The role includes coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks, and providing on-site direction to support Kaiva Services construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management teams to determine budget and timeline Coordinate material and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers Create schedules for workers and subcontractors Evaluate subcontractors and assign work accordingly Maintain a daily log of job site operations and report to management as necessary Make operational changes as needed to meet construction deadlines Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques Attend site meetings and serve as front-line representative for inspections and client questions Maintain daily records including photos, site conditions, subcontractor attendance, deliveries, work issues, and progress Ensure the Superintendent does not have purchasing authority without Board or Kaiva Management designation Perform other duties as needed Requirements / Conditions Current or recent USACE EM385 or equivalent certification required Active Secret Clearance required (site access requirement) 3–5 years federal construction experience required Mid-level Site Superintendent experience (5–9 years overall experience level) Background check and drug screening required Regional Travel as required Work Environment Employee will work on-site in a construction environment supporting Kaiva Services construction projects. Role involves coordination with clients, subcontractors, and project management teams, as well as participation in inspections and site meetings.
