We are seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operators to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Automotive Manufacturing facility located in Steele, AL. Metal Stamping, Press stamping, and Complete Assembly.

  • Normal schedule:
  • 1st shift Monday - Sunday 3am-11:30am $16/hr
  • 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm Monday through Sunday
  • Both shifts currently working 12 hour shifts 3am-3pm or 3pm-3am Monday through Saturday with possible Sundays.

Sit Down Forklift Operator Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $16.00 to $17.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • Various shifts available (Monday through Sunday from 03:00am to 03:00pm)
  • This critical role offers consistent full-time hours with opportunities for overtime.
  • You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, preparing metal products for packaging, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to transport, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
  • Prepare metal components for packaging, ensuring quality and readiness for shipment.
  • Accurately pull correct orders from inventory and stage them in the designated loading area.
  • Move and organize materials within the warehouse or production floor to maintain an orderly and efficient workspace.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance checklists.

Sit Down Forklift Operator Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months experience operating sit-down forklifts.
  • Must possess personal safety glasses and steel-toe shoes.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and efficient work practices.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods (e.g., 12-hour shifts).
  • Prior experience with assembly tasks.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
