The Position

PTE is the department within Roche's PT - Pharma Technical Operations - that leads Operational Excellence, Digital, and Advanced Analytics capabilities. As part of PTE, Operational Excellence empowers Roche PT teams to achieve their performance goals by cultivating a strong, inclusive, and cross-functional community. We focus on embedding Lean thinking, driving continuous improvement, and thoughtfully advancing Digital and Analytics solutions to deliver tangible business value.

The Global Operational Excellence Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for PTT - our MSAT, Engineering and Sustainability organization - acts as the primary liaison between PTT teams and the global OE strategy and execution. This role drives alignment, leads Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of operational excellence across the PTT organization.

The Opportunity:
  • Architect: Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and integrate Operational Excellence (OE) with Digital & Analytics Technologies to create a joint roadmap. Educate and influence senior leaders on using OE/Lean and digital measures to drive outcomes.

  • Catalyst: Support key decision-making, take accountability for improvement plan execution and outcomes, and lead complex improvement initiatives combining OE and Digital methodologies. Monitor performance, promote Lean practices, and identify and address potential roadblocks.

  • Coach: Guide senior and function managers on Lean Leadership, build skills and mindsets across the network, and facilitate a unified digital community.

  • Collaboration & Leadership: Engage PTT Leaders to uncover needs and remove barriers. Align with other PT OE Partners to ensure cohesive, cross-functional solutions. Communicate clearly, foster collaboration, and bring high energy and ownership.

What You Bring:
  • M.Sc., or Bachelor's in a relevant field preferred; Engineering, Manufacturing Science, Biology, Chemistry etc. MBA a plus.

  • At least 5 years of Operational Excellence / Lean experience with strong systemic and analytical thinking.

  • Experience in biotech or pharma is a must. Ideally you have a background in Biologics manufacturing.

  • Deep MSAT/Engineering understanding.

  • Ability to influence and drive sustainable change across complex stakeholder groups.

  • Leadership strength in both vision and execution, especially in behavioral transformation.

  • Growth mindset, digital fluency, and comfort in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
