Simulation Engineer

Location: North Canton, OH - Hybrid

Position Overview

Datwyler is seeking a Simulation Engineer to support product development and customer projects through advanced numerical simulation, material modeling, and engineering analysis. This role partners with internal teams and customers to optimize elastomer component performance, improve manufacturing processes, and drive innovation across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform finite element simulations to evaluate and optimize product performance
  • Support product development through simulation, material modeling, and engineering analysis
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers regarding simulation results, material behavior, and product performance
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, laboratories, customers, and external partners
  • Develop and improve testing and modeling methods
  • Document and present technical findings and recommendations
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with ANSYS and/or ABAQUS
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics and material behavior
  • Fluent in English
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with elastomer materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar programming tools
  • Experience with non-linear mechanical simulations and material modeling
