Job description

Job Summary:
Parsons Corporation is a company that offers endless opportunities for career growth. They are seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation Developer to be a key part of a development team working on software models of real-world threat weapon systems.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and enhancing software digital twins using C++ and Python on Windows and Linux platforms including: Modeling advanced threat systems such as Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (SAMs), radar platforms, and missile seekers
• Developing high-fidelity propagation effects, including terrain masking, refraction, and over-the-horizon propagation
• Creating tracking filters and signal processing chains for radar and electronic warfare systems
• Supporting simulation studies and integrating models into larger mission-level simulations
• Algorithm and technique development supporting Sensors, Missiles, and C4 including active/passive detection, clutter modeling, electronic attack, waveform selection, adaptive beamforming, weapon/target assignment optimization
• Defining requirements and designing solutions for modeling and simulation (M&S) software
• Automated unit, system, and system-of-systems test planning, development, and execution
• Participating in technical discussions to assist in near-term and long-term planning
• Collaborating within a team and mentoring junior/mid-level software developers
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be a US Citizen
• Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent with 8+ years of experience, OR Master’s Degree with 6+ years of experience, OR Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience
• Very strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experience developing products with regular release cycles
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and classified customers
• Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps environments
Preferred:
• Software development in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment
• Experience working in an AGILE software development team
• Mentoring experience
• Experience designing, developing, or operating code for a distributed processing environment
• Experience with working with environmental datasets, Command-and-Control and RF propagation
