Job description

Responsible for the overall MERS maintenance and reports according to MERS procedures ensuring integrity for the loan. Ensure that collateral documents and original loan documents for Residential Mortgage Loans are released/satisfied for loans paid off on a timely manner always complying with bank policies and federal regulations. Responsible for UCCs recordings in a timely manner and processing Electronic Lien Title and Lienholder on time for the auto loans.

Responsibilities: Responsible for MERS maintenance and reports which include deactivation, assignments, modifications, etc. Responsible for the preparation and recording of Satisfaction of Mortgage for paid off Residential loans. Responsible for the preparation and recording of Assignment of Mortgage for MERS purposes.

Responsible for the recording of Assignment of Note and Mortgage for Mortgage Warehousing Lines. Responsible of filing UCC-1/UCC-3 (Amendment, Continuation, Termination) ensuring that UCCs are filed in a timely manner. CSC-UCC invoice reconciliation and payment.

Responsible for the review of documents for the car loan with vehicle title to be sent to Tag Agency to process the Electronic Lien Title and Lienholder. Follow up the vehicle’s ticklers past due. Subject matter expert in the following Loan Operations applications: IBS Core System, Loan Servicing App, Case Management App, FCM Image Centre, Simplifile, CSC-UCCs, CSC’s e-recording service, Meridian Link Mortgage, Meridian Link Consumer, nCino.

Assist the department in audits and projects, ensuring that all processes and procedures are being followed during the audits and projects. Summarize, assemble and extract information to present to examiners and auditors. Perform other duties as required.

Recommend to immediate supervisor, policies and procedures changes needed to maintain a streamlined and secure process. Stay abreast of changes to federal regulations that might directly affect the Loan Operations area. To identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to their respective Risk Management Committee in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards.

Ensure preventative measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFCA and other AML related issues. Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements: Associates degree required, Bachelor’s preferred, or 4 years of comparable experience in lieu of education. Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Minimum five years of loan banking experience, with strong knowledge of all aspects of loan operations.

Must have strong knowledge of loan documentation, loan regulations and loan accounting. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferable. Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge: PC Literate (Excel, Word and Power Point, Access) and ample knowledge of main frame systems requirements for loan operations.

Experience in imaging systems. Strong analytical and report writing knowledge. General knowledge of IT infrastructure.
