The Founder's Seat — Senior Sales Hire (Commission-Only to Start, Path to Base + Commission) Kingdom Signs & Graphics
We are looking for the right candidate to join us as our first dedicated sales hire. This is a commission-only role to start, but it offers a clear, written path to a base salary plus commission, along with the unique opportunity to help build our sales organization from the ground up. If you are looking for a role where you can have a real impact, establish best practices, and build long-term value, we'd love to talk.
Who We AreKingdom Signs & Graphics builds the signs that make businesses visible—channel letters, monument signs, vehicle graphics, dimensional letters, and full property branding. We have a strong product and reliable production capabilities. What we are building next is our sales engine, and we are looking for the right person to help lead that effort.
Who We're Looking ForWe need someone who is driven, disciplined, and ready to take ownership of our sales process. You will be making a lot of calls, hunting for deals, completing estimates, engaging with prospects, and attending networking events as needed. You will also play a key role in establishing best practices for our sales efforts and building our internal sales processes and systems.
You are likely a great fit if you:
·        Have experience closing B2B deals in the $3K–$50K range.
·        Are proactive about building a pipeline and comfortable with cold outreach.
·        Have experience with CRMs, pipeline management, and follow-up cadences—and are excited to help implement them here.
·        Enjoy a consultative sales approach, working with clients to design and solve problems rather than just selling commodities.
·        Understand how to identify and target key accounts systematically.
Sign industry experience is a plus, but not required. We are happy to hire an experienced sales professional from a related industry—such as commercial services, construction, B2B equipment, print, fleet branding, commercial real estate, restaurant supply, awnings, or lighting. We can teach you the product; what we value most is your sales expertise and drive.
What This Role Actually IsYou will be:
·        Our first sales hire: You will work directly with the owner, with no layers of management in between.
·        Handling inbound leads: You will take over the inbound leads we currently have.
·        Building outbound pipeline: You will have the freedom to hunt for new business without territory restrictions.
·        Co-authoring our sales playbook: You will help establish pricing thresholds, qualification frameworks, discovery scripts, CRM build-outs, and follow-up cadences.
·        A consultant first: Our customers buy because they trust our recommendations.
You will not be:
·        Micromanaged or forced to use a rigid script.
·        Capped on your earnings.
·        Stripped of the accounts you work hard to grow.
The Math — Clear and TransparentWe know commission-only roles require careful consideration. Here is exactly how our structure works.
Phase 1 — First 6 months (or until trigger hit):
·        30% of Gross Profit on self-sourced deals.
·        20% of Gross Profit on inbound leads you close.
·        Weekly Pay: You get paid every Friday on the prior week's collected payments.
·        Residuals: 5–7% residual on repeat business from your accounts for 24 months. You are building a book of business.
·        Bonus: $500 fast-start bonus for closing your first deal in your first 30 days.
·        No commission cap.

Realistic earnings example (avg deal $8K, ~40% gross margin):
Our sales cycle is typically under 30 days.
Phase 2 — The Transition (written into your offer letter):
When you achieve either:
·        3 consecutive months at $25K+ in personal monthly Gross Profit, OR
·        6 months from your start date
The role converts to a base salary + commission structure:
·        Base: $45,000
·        Commission: 15% GP on self-sourced deals / 10% GP on inbound leads.
·        Residuals: Your residual stack continues.
·        OTE: ~$110K.
Why This Role is Unique1.      Weekly Pay: We pay weekly on collected payments to help with cash flow.
2.      Gross Profit Commission: Your incentives align with the company's. Negotiate well, and you earn more.
3.      Residuals: You continue to earn when your customers reorder.
4.      Clear Path to Base: The transition trigger is clearly defined in writing.
5.      Foundational Impact: You are helping to write the playbook, not just following one.
6.      Direct Access: You will work directly with the owner to make quick decisions.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should:
·        Be financially prepared for a 60–90 day ramp-up period as you build your pipeline.
·        Be comfortable making 30+ outbound touches a day during your initial ramp-up.
·        Be self-motivated and able to manage your own day.
·        Be excited about the opportunity to help build a sales organization.
How to ApplyPlease email Michael at Michael@kingdomsignsandgraphics.com with the following:
7.      A brief video (90 seconds max): Tell me about a challenging deal you closed and how you navigated it. (Loom or phone video is fine).
8.      Your CRM experience: Let me know what systems you've used, what you'd recommend we implement, and why.
9.      Your target numbers: What OTE are you aiming for to make the initial commission-only period work for you?
We look forward to hearing from you.
