Job description

The Graphic Designer will be ready to develop their existing skills by working with senior staff on a range of ambitious and innovative projects. Responsible for helping to drive the creative direction, an understanding of typography, layout, and art direction is needed to produce the best work possible. The Designer is expected to collaborate effectively with all levels across the organization; so effective written/verbal communication is a key component of the job. The Designer must be confident enough to contribute through the entire creative process. Managing priorities, a sense of urgency & keeping a finger on current trends are also key traits required in this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop in store graphic programs, logos & branding in partnership with the Creative Director & Sr. director.
  • Design projects including presentations, graphics and signage across multiple brands.
  • Work with print vendors to ensure projects are done on time and to our standards
  • Approve art, price signs & graphics to ensure all meet approved design guidelines
  • Handle multiple projects, work on tight deadlines, and take projects from concept to final stage while prioritizing, organizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Key partner in the immediate needs of the business where marketing and signage are necessary to relay a promo/event
  • Assist the Creative Director as required with monthly communication production
  • Oversee company’s online signage portal including sign updates & file organization
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A. Design or Advertising, or an equivalent in education and experience
  • Ideal for recent graduates or experienced professionals seeking a new challenge
  • Highly refined design skill & taste level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • The ability to see projects through from inception to production
  • Knowledge of print design standards is a plus
  • Good organizational skills that support the rest of the team
  • The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
  • The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • Time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and changing deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems strategically and work with a multidisciplinary team
