Aver Sign Company is seeking a motivated Sign Technician to join our installation team. This position is ideal for individuals with construction, skilled trades, general labor, maintenance, or related experience who are interested in building a career in the sign industry.

As a Sign Technician, you will work alongside experienced installers to assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of commercial signage. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.

Essential Responsibilities

Installation Support

ยท Assist with the installation of interior and exterior signage

ยท Help install channel letters, cabinet signs, monument signs, wall signs, dimensional lettering, vinyl graphics, and wayfinding systems

ยท Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites

ยท Prepare installation areas and assist with project setup and cleanup

ยท Follow installation instructions, drawings, and work orders

ยท Assist with sign maintenance and repair projects

ยท Replace sign components, lighting elements, and hardware as directed

ยท Perform routine inspections and service work

ยท Support troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of experienced technicians

Qualifications

ยท Previous experience in construction, carpentry, electrical work, maintenance, landscaping, general labor, or a related field preferred

ยท No sign industry experience required; training will be provided

ยท Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools

ยท Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

ยท Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

ยท Dependable attendance and punctuality

Valid driver's license with clean driving record or Chauffeur preferred

Physical Requirements

ยท Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds

ยท Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

ยท Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting

ยท Comfortable working at heights after appropriate training
