Exciting opportunity to work as a Showroom Manager!

Position Summary:

As Showroom Manager, you are responsible for customer relations, staffing and administrative operations for a Virginia Tile Showroom location, standalone or branch affiliated. You will support company profitability by guiding customers and their end consumers through the tile selection and purchase process, hosting design-oriented events to increase awareness of Virginia Tile in your market, and support sales team engagement with customers and supplier partners.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage all showroom operational activities to include hire, train and evaluate staff, manage assigned budget, coordinate display of products, maintain sample room and supply of product literature, track and report on customer engagements, as well as general administration and maintenance.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with showroom team members to review company information, processes, procedures and/or assignments specific to: 1) Safety 2) General company business 3) Showroom operations 4) Product launch, merchandising, marketing and sales support as it relates to the Showroom 5) Customer service best practices 6) Product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Foster a positive work environment through team building events, continuous improvement feedback and encouraging collaboration.
  • Assist customers with material selections, educating them about our selection process to ensure accurate conversion of their selections to an order placement (as needed).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and instill a customer-centric approach in a safety-first environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify issues and risks, troubleshoot and problem solve safely and efficiently
  • Flooring industry product knowledge a plus, tile and stone experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and principles effectively
  • Professional appearance and a friendly, outgoing personality

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or combination of equivalent training and an Associateโ€™s Degree
  • 5 years of Interior Design experience in a dealer, showroom or retail environment
  • 2-3 years of management or assistant management experience
  • Microsoft Office โ€“ Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision

Travel (5%):

  • Events and/or meetings may require travel outside local area
  • Manufacturer, Industry or Design Conferences/Tradeshows for Continuing Education

Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday with evening or weekend hours as needed to support all hours the Showroom is open to the public. Showroom Managers are expected to open and close or schedule a qualified staff member to do so as needed in their absence.
