OVERVIEW

The Equipment Repair Shop Supervisor is responsible for the execution and supervision of all maintenance and repair activities such as but not limited to preventative maintenance, maintenance planning, equipment repairs, mechanic supervision, and vendor coordination. These activities must be production and cost goal oriented and must follow all established safety guidelines.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all in house and vendors executed maintenance and repair activities conducted in the agriculture shop for our internal and rental fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Assist in all maintenance planning and help supervise its execution
  • Maintain a strong technical knowledge of heavy, medium, and light duty equipment systems, ability to read complicated schematics and translate to team members
  • Provide support and technical guidance on repairs, train others on troubleshooting equipment, coach team members and provide feedback to all levels
  • Communicate daily work schedules to team members, specifically to shop technicians
  • Communicate and coordinate maintenance and repair activities with outside contractors/vendor services and supervise their progress
  • Maintain consistent communication with farm management, especially during key repair activities as it relates to their equipment
  • Maintain professional and courteous relationships with all departments within the company
  • Communicate Human Resource's policies and procedures to team members; support Florida Crystals Corporation's Standards of Conduct/Work Rules Policy
  • Comply with and enforce Florida Crystals Corporation's Environmental Health and Safety Policy (EHS). Must understand and adhere to all Florida Crystals Corporation's policies and procedures
  • Attend departmental and safety meetings as scheduled, along with implementation of action items approved
  • All other duties as directed by management representatives

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum of seven (6) years heavy equipment technician experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role
