Job description

Micro Metals is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. If you enjoy staying organized, working with a team, and ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time, we want to hear from you.
As a Shipping Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting production and customer satisfaction by preparing shipments, maintaining documentation, and ensuring orders leave our facility accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
What You'll Do
• Prepare and process customer shipments
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping documentation
• Create packing slips, labels, and bills of lading
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet shipping deadlines
• Load and unload materials as needed
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
• Enter and track shipping information in company systems
• Maintain shipping supplies and a clean, organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
What We're Looking For
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, work orders, and shipping documents
• Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, data entry, shipping software, and manufacturing/ERP systems
• Ability to accurately enter, track, and maintain shipping records and documentation
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and shipping software preferred
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures while wearing PPE
