Primary Function

Perform all transactions related to receiving purchased parts and shipping customer orders. Perform cycle counts. Stock and organize warehouse. Pick, pack and load goods. Dispatches shipments to meet customer needs and maintains documentation. Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all clerical functions related to receiving inbound material accurately and within the time parameters established. Assists in unloading/ loading of trucks. SAP functions.
  • Review, file, maintain, and research (as requested) all receiving/ shipping paperwork.  Files are to be retained in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in achieving inventory accuracy in warehouse through investigation of inventory discrepancies and scheduled cycle counts.
  • Provide information to buyers, planners, stock transaction clerks, accounts payable, vendors, production and transportation personnel as needed to resolve quality issues, receiving and accounts payable discrepancies.
  • Complete all clerical functions related to Shipping. Perform SAP functions.
  • Inspect and re stock freight returns.
  • Pick, Pack and Load orders as needed.
  • Dispatch daily loads with carriers.
  • Plan and coordinate CPU/Third Party shipments via SAP/TM/ECC as required.
  • Follow up with order entry department on past due CPU to ensure they are picked up or addressed. 
  • Assist Customers load their pick up's.
  • Create paperwork required for all shipments.
  • Note special instructions to warehouse personnel.
  • Monitor daily task list as required to ensure timely loading of trucks.
  • Facilitate and/or troubleshoot problems with documentation required for loading trucks.
  • Update trailer and tracking information on shipments as required.
  • Post Goods Issue validation of all shipments.
  • Correct and provide corrected shipping documents as required.
  • Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
  • Notifies supervisor or planning department when major discrepancies occur.
  • Collects information for damage claims on in-transit damage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Min 3 years experience
  • Word typing ability to accurately key 50 WPM Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and superiors, both verbally and written
  • Proficiency with office machinery and Office Systems, specifically MS Office and email functions
  • Strong logic and problem solving abilities, including ability to plan, organize, and work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong attention to detail
