Job description

Position Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator manages the day-to-day flow of materials that supports the production of large industrial equipment. This hands-on role is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy and internal material movement to keep operations running efficiently. The coordinator works closely with production and scheduling to ensure parts and materials are available when needed, while maintaining a safe, organized facility that supports on-time builds and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate handling of inbound and outbound freight. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing documentation; resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counting and corrective action.

Organize warehouse and storage areas to support safe, efficient material flow. Stage and deliver raw materials to machining, fabrication and assembly work centers. Retrieve completed parts and assemblies and move them to the next operation or finished goods staging.

Physically track and kit parts for production, assembly, shipping and receiving. Coordinate closely with scheduling and production teams to prioritize material movement. Prepare shipments including packaging, labeling, documentation and freight coordination for large components.

Complete ERP transactions related to receiving, inventory movement and shipping. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and material flow. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education High school diploma or equivalent required Trade, logistics or manufacturing-related training preferred Experience 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving or manufacturing support experience Experience handling large or heavy components preferred Inventory control or cycle counting experience ERP or inventory system familiarity is a plus.
