Job Summary:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations across shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all material movement while leading a team to meet operational goals, customer expectations, and company standards.
The position is hands-on and requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset to optimize warehouse performance and maintain inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations
  • Oversee all outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery
  • Ensure proper packaging, documentation, and bill of lading creation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Maintain final quality assurance standards prior to shipment
  • Identify and implement improvements to shipping processes

Receiving Operations
  • Supervise inbound shipments including loading, unloading, inspection, and reconciliation
  • Ensure all received assets are accurately recorded and verified against documentation
  • Maintain proper staging and organization of incoming materials.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in receiving workflows

Inventory Management
  • Ensure complete inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and system integrity
  • Oversee the placement, movement, and tracking of all assets within the warehouse
  • Manage stock levels, material movement discrepancies, and reporting
  • Ensure completion of inventory reports, including missing assets and finished goods tracking

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates across all operational areas
  • Set daily priorities and ensure productivity, quality, and accountability
  • Coach team members on performance, safety, and process adherence
  • Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Process Improvement & Operations Excellence
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across departments
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor performance metrics including accuracy, throughput, and turnaround time
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve operational outcomes

Compliance, Safety, & Quality
  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies

  • Promote a safe and organized warehouse environment
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • At least 1โ€“3 years of experience in a lead, supervisor, or team leadership role
  • Proven experience maintaining inventory accuracy, including cycle counting and auditing processes
  • Experience overseeing or supporting outbound shipping processes, including packaging, documentation, and quality assurance
  • Experience managing inbound receiving operations, including inspection, reconciliation, and system entry
Preferred Skillset:
  • Experience in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), reverse logistics, or electronics processing environments
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP, or warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Experience developing or improving standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • OSHA or workplace safety training experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment
