Virginia MetalFab is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to fill the role of Shipping & Receiving Clerk.
WHO YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team and will be responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received, pack products in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents, ensure all orders have been filled correctly, and physically load and unload shipments.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
  • ? All incoming and outgoing shipments for StallWorks LLC/Virginia MetalFab
  • ? Loading and unloading all trucks
  • ? All input, tracking, filing, and printing of shipping/receiving records
  • ? Organization and cleanliness of the shipping area - including front concrete pad and area around dumpsters
  • ? Receiving materials and recording in JobBoss
  • ? Inventory of shipping/receiving supplies
  • ? Making custom skids for material handling and shipping.
  • ? Fill out all required paperwork for LTL or other shipments
  • ? Take photographs for all shipments and file them appropriately

SHIFT
Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Requirements
  • Computer skills - MS Suite, basic computer skills.
  • Certifications and Licenses - Forklift
  • Communication, Oral: Effectively articulate and convey information in spoken form, essential for coordinating shipping and receiving operations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: HS or GED
Experience: Minimum experience of 1-2 years in sheet metal industry with any company. Experience in shipping preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn production software or other company systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Prior use of JobBoss (ERP) or inventory management software. Familiarity with QuickBooks.
Certifications & Licenses: Forklift preferred.
Other Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Able to wear PPE in the shop area.
Physical Demands
Lift/carry - Up to and including 51-100 lbs. frequently.
Push/pull - Up to 41-100 lbs. frequently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to outside elements and working in a non-climate controlled environment.
