We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping / Receiving & Inventory Control Operator to support warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory management, material movement, and shipment processing. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product traceability, and overall warehouse efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesInventory Accuracy & Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records between physical inventory and system inventory
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as needed
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Record all inventory movements using RF scanners
- Verify item numbers, quantities, lot codes, expiration dates, and locations during transactions
- Escalate unresolved discrepancies when necessary
Receiving Operations
- Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders
- Perform 3-way verification between purchase orders, physical product, and system records
- Receive materials using RF scanning equipment
- Apply and verify product labels
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
Shipping Operations
- Verify outbound shipments against pick lists
- Ensure 100% scan compliance during shipping processes
- Follow FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation procedures
- Prevent incorrect or incomplete shipments
Warehouse & Material Handling
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Move and stage materials accurately using RF scanners
- Maintain organized inventory locations and warehouse flow
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow GMP, safety, FIFO, and FEFO procedures
- Report any food safety, quality, or safety concerns immediately
Documentation & Systems
- Complete all system transactions and logs accurately
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation
- Ensure real-time inventory updates within the system
Performance Expectations
- Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or greater
- Achieve 100% scan compliance
- Complete cycle counts on schedule
- Maintain zero unreported inventory variances
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience required
- Forklift experience required
- RF scanner and computer data entry experience required
- Experience with WMS or ERP systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in freezer or cold-storage conditions
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and physical movement required
