JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and warehouse operations to ensure orders are processed, packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This position works closely with Customer Service, management, carriers, and internal departments to maintain smooth order flow and high-quality shipping services. The ideal candidate will have extensive shipping and logistics experience, strong leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of shipping processes and regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Customer Service to determine and maintain accurate shipping prices.
  • Monitor shipping operations to ensure they remain within budget without compromising speed, accuracy, or efficiency.
  • Process shipment documentation and inspect completed orders for accuracy and proper packaging and labeling.
  • Create, implement, and maintain shipping policies and procedures.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate shipping and warehouse employees.
  • Act as a liaison between management, carriers, customers, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation through shipment.
  • Document processes and prepare reports for management as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate carrier performance and resolve shipping, order, and logistics issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable shipping industry regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee warehouse operations and work with employees to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated experience with shipment processing, carrier coordination, shipping documentation, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping portals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and remain active for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with warehouse and shipping operations.
  • Ability to safely handle and inspect packages and shipping materials.

INFORMATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Schedule:8AM-5PM Monday through Friday.

Pay: This position has a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000. The range represents the expected hourly rate range for this position. The actual hourly rate may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.

Bonus Pay: Meridian offers a performance-based incentive plan tied to company success. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn a percentage of their salary, with bonus payments distributed yearly.
