About the Role
As a Service Parts Analyst, you will develop and maintain critical documentation within our ERP system (QAD), identifying and documenting all parts and activities required to service our products, while also managing our aftermarket accessory catalog. Serving as a liaison between engineering, purchasing, and customer service, you will identify and document part locations within structures and assemblies, as well as part supersessions and replacements, providing accurate, relevant information to those servicing our trucks. Additionally, you will process customer service parts orders for the field, track shipping completion and provide invoices to internal and external customers as needed.
What You Will Do
  • Identify assemblies from the Engineering BOM that are relevant for service.
  • Integrate customer service feedback into service parts requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Warranty Analyst on component failure feedback.
  • Document the location of each part within the truck.
  • Track and update part information for supersessions and replacement parts.
  • Serve as liaison between engineering, quality, purchasing, and field service teams to ensure accurate and representative documentation.
  • Review materials at Change Board meetings for approval.
  • Utilize QAD to obtain part release information and confirm documentation accuracy.
  • Track shipping confirmation and create needed invoices once sales orders are closed.
  • Continuously improving the Service BOM based on field feedback and engineering updates, working closely with the engineering change community.
  • Deliver additional outputs including tabulation of parts consumed; documentation of actual or potential serviceability issues, along with recommendations to mitigate concerns; part cost, labor timing, and warranty recommendations based on observed performance.
  • Operate as a self-directed contributor-organizing meetings, gathering necessary background information, and reporting discrepancies, issues, or serviceability improvement opportunities to Workhorse leadership.

Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Background: Minimum 10 years' automotive or commercial vehicle service experience in a manufacturing or dealership environment.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple service project initiatives and ensure they align with organizational goals.
  • Automotive Technology:
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, particularly electric vehicle technology.
  • Ability to classify parts to correct vehicle systems.
  • Ability to create and update documents using Office and Microsoft products.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and developing/contributing to new processes and procedures to help design, build and service our products with excellence.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse audiences.
