Job description

Jinny's Music Studio — San Jose, CA

Jinny's Music Studio is casting professional musicians — guitarist, violinist, and pianist — to appear on camera in a 30-second commercial being filmed at our San Jose studio. Music has been composed by our film composer and the video is being produced by our video producer — you're needed to perform, not compose or produce.


Instruments Needed:

Guitarist, Violinist, Pianist


Musical style:

A lively song with a blues soul and hip-hop like kick. Imagine a tango between the different genre individuality of each instrument twisting together into one unified sound. Steinway-led — expressive, acoustic, with a subtle rhythmic pulse underneath. Not rock or pop; think classical technique with a modern edge.


Role:

Perform on camera for the commercial shoot, playing guitar, violin, or piano to the composed piece as directed. This is an on-camera performance role — musicians are required to actually play, not mime.


Requirements:

  • Professional-level proficiency on guitar, violin, or piano, comfortable performing on camera
  • Able to learn and perform a short composed piece for the shoot
  • Available for a single shoot day at our San Jose studio (date TBD - in the next two weeks)
  • Comfortable with multiple takes under direction


Compensation:

Contract/one-time rate, paid for the shoot day. Please include your rate expectations when applying.
