Drummer / Percussionist

New Shiloh Christian Center — Melbourne, Florida

New Shiloh Christian Center is seeking an energetic, skilled, and Spirit-led Drummer to join our Worship & Music Ministry team. The ideal candidate will have strong musical ability, excellent timing, and a passion for creating an atmosphere of worship through music.

Responsibilities

  • Provide drum accompaniment during Sunday worship services, rehearsals, conferences, revivals, and special church events
  • Support praise and worship leaders, choir members, and musicians with dynamic and appropriate playing
  • Maintain strong rhythm, tempo, and musical sensitivity during worship flow
  • Play a variety of musical styles including gospel, contemporary worship, praise breaks, and traditional church music
  • Attend scheduled rehearsals and ministry meetings
  • Collaborate professionally with the music ministry team
  • Demonstrate flexibility during spontaneous worship moments and transitions

Qualifications

  • Proficiency on drum set/percussion
  • Experience playing in church, gospel, or live band settings preferred
  • Strong sense of timing, dynamics, and musical structure
  • Ability to follow direction while contributing creativity and energy
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Positive attitude and willingness to serve in ministry
  • Respect for church leadership and ministry standards

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with gospel chops, praise breaks, worship ballads, and contemporary church styles
