How we LEAD:
UMPG seeks to recruit a highly motivated Music Publishing professional to fulfil the role of Manager within our Global Copyright team.
The Global Copyright team at UMPG delivers a first-class copyright registration and data management service to our renowned client roster and their iconic catalogues. It is a component of our wider Global Administration organization which performs various leadership and supporting operational functions on behalf of and working in partnership with our 46 international offices and 6 sub publishers. This is an opportunity to work with the company's most prominent deals and songwriters, as well as our offices worldwide.
This role will be based in our operations center in Nashville, TN and will report to the Global Copyright Director.
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for facilitating our global registration service to collection societies and partners which is underpinned by our bespoke registration technology, as well as managing access to our copyright and royalty systems.
How you'll CREATE:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for copyright systems user access, ensuring appropriate provisioning and controls.
  • Lead and manage quarterly user access reviews to be compliant.
  • Create ad hoc CWR files, including handling of acknowledgment files.
  • Monitor registration activity and deliver reporting insights to affiliates and clients.
  • Coordinate with Global Digital and Global Royalty teams by delegating tasks as appropriate.
  • Respond to inquiries from local offices, effectively triaging and routing requests to the appropriate teams.
  • Prepare and ingest new catalog data files to support local copyright operations.
  • Manage the UMPG registrations shared inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Oversee scheduled copyright process control reports, including follow-ups and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities in line with evolving business needs.

You will collaborate closely with and be supported by the following UMPG teams:
  • European Regional Administration in London.
  • North American Copyright in Nashville.
  • Administration and Copyright leadership teams across UMPG international offices.
  • Global Film/TV and Digital teams in Nashville.
  • Global Royalties and Global Analytics in Nashville.
  • Global Technology in London.

Bring your VIBE:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a copyright administration role, preferably with a strong working knowledge of Common Works Registration formats, agreement registration, and related workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across Global Administration teams and local offices worldwide.
  • Goal-oriented approach, demonstrating accountability and pride in achieving team, departmental, and organizational objectives while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently to ensure consistent delivery of requirements.
