Job description

Foam Molding Production Associate: Trimmer/Shooter

Location: West Chester
1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4 AM - 2PM
Starting Pay: $17.61

Job Description

The Foam Molding Production Associate is responsible for trimming, preparing, molding, and inspecting foam cushion products while meeting daily production and quality standards. Employees will begin in the Trimmer role and may advance to the Shooter position as they gain experience and demonstrate proficiency.

Responsibilities

Trimmer
  • Tuck and trim materials and properly line molds with film.
  • Trim excess material from molded products.
  • Maintain clean and properly prepared molds to ensure product quality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
Shooter
  • Line molds with plastic and prepare them for the molding process.
  • Shoot foam into molds according to production specifications.
  • Safely handle and lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • De-mold finished products and place them in designated part bins for secondary processing.
  • Meet daily production quotas while maintaining quality and safety standards.
General Responsibilities
  • Identify and correct discrepancies or defects during the assembly and molding process.
  • Document production processes, test results, and quality issues as required.
  • Record daily production data accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production needs and quality concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow and implement 6S workplace organization and safety practices.
  • Assist with training less-experienced employees when needed.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Wear required steel-toed shoes while working.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently while meeting daily production goals.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
