Job description

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a SharePoint Developer to assume the responsibility for the design, build, test, deployment, and management of a suite SharePoint sites.

This is a temporary position running through February 2027.


The following reflects management’s definition of key functions for this job and reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary to meet operational requirements:

  • Creating scalable and secure user interface applications with an emphasis on front-end graphics design
  • Writing and modifying code to build SharePoint sites, interfaces, and workflows based on user requirements
  • Testing software and ensuring code runs properly
  • Providing ongoing support and fixing issues as they arise
  • Conducting discovery sessions to gather requirements for SharePoint projects
  • Designing secure SharePoint sites and applications and overseeing their implementations
  • Documenting SharePoint configurations and architecture
  • Understanding of customer workflows to drive efficiencies through optimization and automation
  • Collaborate closely with the SharePoint and intranet technical team, as well as business partners on successful integration of sites and applications
  • Ensure the operational health of the SharePoint online environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability
  • Maintain/sustain existing SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, and items)
  • Experience documenting and championing technical requirements that result from business process and/or organizational change recommendations
  • Interact with client to understand business requirements and underlying workflows to meet expectations
  • Integrate existing applications and business processes into SharePoint suite as required

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must have 3-5 years of SharePoint Online development experience.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services.
  • Experience working on Medium to Large-Scale SharePoint Farms.
  • Understanding of publishing features in SharePoint and experience working with Master Pages, Page Layouts, Themes and CSS.
  • Experience in deploying organization-wide and high visibility SharePoint business solutions.
  • Experience in web design using CSS, JavaScript, and OOB SharePoint features.

 Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in SharePoint Online.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location: This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. 

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market rates commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation rate for this position is $95,000 - $135,000 annually. The salary range displayed represents the typical rate for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.#LI-NC26
