Quality Engineer (Data Analytics, APQP, QMS amp; EMS)
Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining and improving quality and environmental data analytics, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), the Quality Management System (QMS), and the Environmental Management System (EMS), while supporting the systems and tools that enable effective quality operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics, Reporting and Systems Administration
  • Develop and maintain quality and environmental reports utilizing Power BI
  • Provide support for the D365 Quality Module
  • Manage the 8D system, including reporting and effectiveness tracking
  • Maintain the Quality Alert report and database
Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • Facilitate major quality and environmental CI initiatives
  • Facilitate and track environmental and internal audit 8D
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Product Process Change Control (PPCC)
  • Represent Quality in APQP amp; PPCC
  • Represent Quality in Factory Master Planning amp; Technology Roadmap initiatives
  • Facilitate and maintain PFMEAs
  • Drive RPN reduction and mitigation actions
  • Track issues during experimental and first builds
  • Present quality risks in project risk assessments
  • Support build readiness planning
  • Develop initial:
    • Control Plans
    • Inspection checklists
    • Layered Process Audit (LPA) checklists
    • Appearance standards
  • Facilitate PPAP planning and submissions
  • Manage deviation requests during APQP
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards (ISO 9001 / 14001)
  • Manage the internal audit schedule for QMS and EMS
  • Oversee the Layered Process Audit (LPA) system, including scheduling and reporting
  • Manage QMS amp; EMS document control systems, including SharePoint governance

Qualifications
Required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of APQP amp; FMEA
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Power BI preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
Preferred
  • Experience with QMS and EMS systems
  • Strong understanding of 8D corrective action systems
  • Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Quality Module
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Experience with Layered Process Audits (LPA)
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification or experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience
