Job description

Summary
The Automation Systems Specialist serves as a key technical resource responsible for the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of the company's compliance and business operations platform built on Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This role collaborates with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure the platform remains reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs. This role requires working onsite in our Waukee office.
  • Design, develop, and maintain business applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and other Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues affecting application functionality, workflow execution, data integrity, and user experience in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal teams and clients to gather requirements, understand business processes, and implement approved enhancements and process improvements.
  • Configure and maintain workflows, approval processes, notifications, forms, and supporting data structures.
  • Test, validate, and deploy application updates, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Provide day-to-day support for users, including issue resolution, training, and guidance on platform functionality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability, and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and clients to support ongoing projects, implementations, and system enhancements.
  • Assist with reporting, data management, system administration, and platform maintenance activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies to support continuous improvement and adoption of new capabilities.
