Job description

Role: SharePoint Designer/Admin
Location: Martinez, CA — Onsite
Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
Overview: We are looking for a skilled SharePoint Designer/Administrator to lead the revamp of our intranet. The ideal candidate will bring both design sensibility and strong technical administration skills to modernize our SharePoint environment into a clean, user-friendly, and highly functional intranet experience.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and revamp the existing SharePoint intranet site with a modern, intuitive look and feel
  • Build and configure SharePoint pages, web parts, navigation, and site collections
  • Manage SharePoint permissions, user access, and site administration
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective intranet solutions
  • Ensure consistency in branding, layout, and user experience across all intranet pages
  • Maintain and troubleshoot SharePoint environments, resolving issues promptly
  • Create and maintain documentation for site architecture, workflows, and admin processes


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365 design and administration experience
  • Strong proficiency in SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • Experience with intranet design, site architecture, and SharePoint branding
  • Solid understanding of SharePoint permissions, governance, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom page development
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


Preferred:

  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams integration and Power Apps
