Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Design Administrative Coordinator to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Design Administrative Coordinator under general supervision, provides support to Project Engineers, engineers and designers in the Project Engineering and Design Services groups. Produces PDF packages from multiple design documents using various software native files for the purpose of checking prints, reviewing files, and final issuance.  

Responsibilities
  • Tracks progress of design packages throughout the review process
  • Distributes review files via email
  • Communicates with reviewers to ensure adherence to schedules are being met throughout review periods
  • Notifies Project Engineer of perceived schedule delays
  • Prepares and assembles design output packages (DCP's, DCF's, etc.)
  • Authenticates design deliverables into Document Control Center utilizing SmartPlant Foundation (SPF)
  • Provides a variety of clerical and administrative assistance
  • Completes tasks such as gathering, composing, tracking, tabulating, summarizing, and organizing information
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, special events or travel arrangements
  • Utilizes personal computers or electronic devices including keyboarding, databases, spreadsheets, presentation, conversion software, document control or other applications/programs specific to SRMC
  • Instructs, informs or refers others on department or company procedures and practices
  • Assists in control or prescribed work activities
  • Compiles and performs basic analysis, prepares reports and/or recommendations
  • Serves as administrative liaison between Project Engineering, Design Services, and all other SRMC organizations
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; or
  • High School Diploma / GED and professional, administrative, secretarial or clerical experience related to the position's responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Communication skills to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work as a team member and a willingness to assist the team 
  • Knowledge of personal computers and MS Office Suite applications, FileMaker Pro, MicroStation V8 CADD, and SmartPlant Foundation (SPF)
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Solid time management skills
