Job description

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a SharePoint Migration Specialist with a Top-Secret security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC.

Kadiak, LLC is seeking a SharePoint Migration Specialist with a Top-Secret Clearance in Washington, DC to provide planning, executing, and supporting migrations from legacy SharePoint environments into modern SharePoint Online. This role focuses on ensuring smooth transitions of content, workflows, permissions, and solutions, while modernizing business processes through Power Platform and updated SharePoint Online capabilities. The ideal candidate combines handson technical expertise, strong problemsolving skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT at the FBI.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute migrations from SharePoint Subscription Edition into SharePoint Online using enterprise migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Migration Manager, PowerShell automation). 
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during migration, including throttling, permissions inconsistencies, legacy workflow dependencies, or unsupported customizations.
  • Prepare premigration assessments, inventory reports, mapping documents, content normalization, and remediation plans.
  • Modernization & Solution Enhancement.
  • Convert legacy SharePoint customizations and workflows into modern SharePoint Online equivalents using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) as applicable. Assists with determine "best fit" replacements.
  • Collaborate with business owners to translate legacy forms and workflows (e.g., InfoPath, SPD workflows) into sustainable, cloudready solutions.
  • Power Platform Development.
  • Build and enhance Power Apps connected to SharePoint lists, libraries, and external data sources.
  • Create Power Automate flows to replace legacy SharePoint Designer workflows and automate routine business processes.
  • Implement governance-aligned best practices for Power Platform deployments, ALM, and solution lifecycle management.
  • Experience with on premises data gateways preferred.
  • Content Management & Site Updates.
  • Advise on content cleanup, restructuring, and metadata enrichment to improve usability and searchability.
  • Configure modern SharePoint sites, hubs, permissions, information architecture.
  • Partner with site owners to ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and user experience standards.
  • PowerShell & Automation.
  • Develop custom PowerShell scripts (PnP.PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, CSOM) to automate migration tasks, reporting, bulk updates, and provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot PowerShell and APIrelated issues during migration or modernization projects.
  • Maintain script repositories, documentation, and reusable automation modules.
  • Experience executing custom PowerShell and managing site migration automation.
  • Collaboration & Support.
  • Work closely with project managers, business users, and technical teams to gather requirements and provide status updates.
  • Deliver postmigration support including issue remediation, user training, and knowledge transfer.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 4 Year Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.
  • Handson experience migrating SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online using tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or native Microsoft migration tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, permissions, site templates, lists/libraries, and modern UI.
  • Experience building solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate, including form design, automation logic, and integrations.
  • Proficiency executing custom PowerShell scripts for SharePoint administration, migration, and automation (PnP, Graph, CSOM).
  • Experience converting classic SharePoint Designer workflows or InfoPath forms into modern solutions.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 services including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Platform governance.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS700, MS600, PL100/200/400, SC300).
  • Experience with SPFx, TypeScript, React, or other
  • 10+ years of experience
