Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Migration Engineer to join our Workforce Solutions team. This role is responsible for leading and executing SharePoint and Microsoft 365 migration projects for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in SharePoint (Online and On-Prem), Microsoft 365, data migration tools, and client-facing consulting experience.

This is a hands-on technical, client-facing role requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple migration projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SharePoint migration projects (assessment, design, execution, validation, and support).
  • Migrate environments including:
    • SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online
    • File Shares to SharePoint Online / OneDrive
    • Tenant-to-tenant migrations
    • Utilize migration tools such as ShareGate, BitTitan, Quest, or Microsoft Migration Manager 
  • Design SharePoint Online site architecture, permissions models, and governance structures.
  • Perform environment assessments, inventory analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Execute pre-migration testing and post-migration validation.
  • Troubleshoot migration-related issues (permissions, metadata, workflows, customizations).
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and client stakeholders to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Provide documentation including runbooks, migration plans, and technical summaries.
  • Offer knowledge transfer and post-migration support to clients.
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives when required.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on SharePoint administration and migration experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SharePoint Online
    • SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 (On-Prem)
    • Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online)
  • Experience using at least one enterprise migration tool (ShareGate, BitTitan, etc.).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Understanding of security and compliance within Microsoft 365.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an MSP or consulting environment.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-100, MS-101, SC-300, etc.).
  • Experience with:
    • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
    • Teams migrations
    • Information governance and retention policies
    • Azure AD Connect / Hybrid configurations
