A SharePoint Migration Engineer specializes in planning, executing, and supporting the migration of content, data, and workflows from legacy systems or previous SharePoint versions to newer versions or to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365). They analyze existing environments, design migration strategies, resolve compatibility issues, and ensure data integrity throughout the process. They may also provide post-migration support, troubleshoot issues, and train end users to ensure a smooth transition. Their work helps organizations modernize collaboration tools and improve productivity.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a SharePoint Migration Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a SharePoint Migration Engineer, you need expertise in SharePoint architecture, data migration strategies, and experience with both on-premises and cloud environments, often supported by a degree in computer science or related fields.
