Services include skilled nursing care, post-acute care, memory loss care, adult day program, assisted living, housing with services, short-term rehabilitation, and the Walker Methodist Foundation. Walker Methodist has been serving seniors and their communities since 1945.
Job Description
Walker Methodist Shared Services seeks a Chef/Kitchen Manager to prepare high-quality meals according to therapeutic diets/preferences, manage food orders/inventory, customer service satisfaction, adhere to budget guidelines and supervise cooks. The Chef/Kitchen Manager must be willing to regularly travel to all Walker Methodist communities in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Full-time days, Monday through Friday including every other weekend.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts
  • ServSafe certification and/or Food Manager's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Working knowledge of food preparation methods and terminology
  • Three years experience as a culinary supervisor in the food industry
  • Ability to effectively lead and develop cooks, dishwashers and waitstaff
  • Ability to live Walker Methodist's Customer Service Principles
