SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to current and potential customers. Accurately processes financial transactions and maintains cash accuracy in cash drawer. Cross sells bank products and services by looking for sales opportunities while assisting customers and non-customers. The Head Teller is responsible for balancing the vault, ATM, ordering from the Federal Reserve and assisting Tellers with more complex transactions and/or inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for balancing vault, ordering cash from the Federal Reserve, preparing currency/coin for shipment, counting coin and servicing ATM, monitors balancing of cash drawers and completes quarterly audits of cash drawers and vault. Takes on leadership responsibility with branch scheduling.
- Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers in a professional manner. Processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently and responds to customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. Uses down-time on Teller line advantageously.
- Meets balancing standards, maintains cash drawer limits, and exercises processing and proofing practices that ensure accuracy. Follows teller cash counting rules, such as counting cash three times.
- Knowledge of bank products and services and can educate customers on basic checking and savings accounts. Actively looks for opportunities to cross sell products and services including making referrals to meet customer needs. May serve as a back up to open new accounts which include business and consumer checking, savings, CD’s, and IRA’s.
- Required, reliable attendance is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3+ years of job-related experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crawl, and use computer for extended periods. COMPENSATION
Starting Salary Range: $21.25-$23.75 per hour
