    • 2nd Shift 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM, Mon-Fri  (will train on 1st shift for 1-2 months)

What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator? You will:
  • Set-up, operate, and clean membrane production and coating equipment
  • Pull membranes from the machine, prepare and package membrane
  • Tasks also include chemical mixing, quality checks, operating the manufacturing line, troubleshooting the line, and packaging.
  • Move raw materials and finished products to proper locations
  • Monitor and document raw material and final product quality, including making adjustments to coating processes to assure membrane meets specifications
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify and correct root cause of malfunction to minimize scrap
  • Contain, label, store, and transfer hazardous waste according to applicable regulations
  • Support area cycle counts
  • Enter production data into database, forms, logs, and SAP
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration procedures
  • May conduct handling and mixing of chemicals according to prescribed formulas and procedures (strong acids, bases, and solvents are used in regular processes).
  • PPE will be required, which may include varying types of gowning and a respirator.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures (Lock-out/Tag-Out, Confined Space Entry, Line-Break)
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor, Facilitator, or Lead
 
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have at least 12 months of machine operator, maintenance technician, or similar technical experience.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs, move, bend, and be on your feet for your entire shift.
  • Are willing to work with chemicals with proper PPE, depending on the role.
  • Are able to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, gown, and on an intermittent basis, respirator protection in the form of a PAPR as well as a chemical resistant suit
