We contract directly with local growers to provide the freshest possible grains at the best possible prices and our two wildlife food processing facilities are located in the heart of sunflower seed and grain-growing regions. Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of production lines in our wild bird seed production facility. This role involves setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate processing of bird seed products. The Line Operator plays a key role in maintaining production schedules, adhering to quality standards, and ensuring a safe working environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Operation:
    • Operate and monitor production line machinery including packaging, sewing, and labeling equipment.
    • Adjust machine settings as needed to accommodate different product specifications and ensure optimal performance.
    • Perform regular checks to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  2. Production Monitoring:
    • Oversee the production process, ensuring that the line is running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Monitor product quality and make adjustments to equipment or processes to meet quality standards.
    • Track production metrics and report any deviations from standard processes or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
  3. Setup and Changeovers:
    • Prepare and set up equipment for different production runs, including changing out components and adjusting settings.
    • Execute changeovers between different product types with minimal downtime.
  4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    • Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or production issues.
