Job description

Title:

Space Acquisition Life Cycle Logistician (Senior/Lead SETA)

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Acquisition Life Cycle Logistician to support the development and sustainment of first-of-kind space vehicles and ground systems. This position provides System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) located at Kirtland AFB, NM.

The selected candidate will serve as a lead logistics advisor and integrator, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Integrated Product Support (IPS) strategies across multiple high-visibility, time-critical programs. This role operates within small, agile, mission-focused teams delivering operationally dominant space capabilities at the speed of warfighting relevance.

As a senior SETA logistician, you will lead and execute life cycle product support planning and integration activities across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle. Responsibilities focus on ensuring supportability, readiness, and sustainment optimization while balancing reliability, availability, maintainability (RAM), and total ownership cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead logistics advisor for high-priority programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in life cycle logistics and sustainment planning.
  • Brief senior leadership and support program-level decision forums.
  • Develop and implement product support strategies across the system lifecycle.
  • Assess programs against the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements.
  • Evaluate reliability, availability, maintainability, and cost performance metrics.
  • Conduct logistics and supportability analyses including maintenance planning and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
  • Support development of acquisition strategies and RFP documentation.
  • Provide logistics planning and technical documentation support.
  • Coordinate across multiple programs to align acquisition and sustainment objectives.
  • Monitor program risks, schedules, and performance outcomes.
  • Perform configuration management reviews to maintain logistics data integrity.
  • Develop maintenance concepts, supportability analyses, and sustainment plans.
  • Support transition to operations, including readiness and IOC activities.
  • Coordinate with government, FFRDCs, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate logistics working groups and integration forums.
  • Prepare program reports, documentation, and executive briefings.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility and willingness to undergo a polygraph is required to be considered for this position.
  • Minimum 10 years of DoD/IC or relevant industry experience in logistics or acquisition.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes (DoDI 5000 series).
  • Proficiency in Integrated Life Cycle Management (AFI 63-101/20-101).
  • Experience in product support documentation and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

  • 15+ years supporting DoD/IC acquisition or sustainment programs.
  • Experience with JCIDS, LCSP, DSOR, and DMAP processes.
  • Experience with ACAT I/II programs and satellite systems.
  • SETA experience supporting government program offices.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and transition to operations.
