What is SETA training?

SETA training refers to the education and skills development programs overseen by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) in South Africa. These programs are designed to improve workforce skills and ensure that employees meet industry standards. SETA training can include learnerships, apprenticeships, and accredited courses, and often leads to recognized qualifications. The goal is to bridge the skills gap and promote employability within various sectors.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a SETA Training Facilitator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a SETA Training Facilitator, you need a solid understanding of adult education principles, the relevant industry sector, and accreditation or certification as an assessor or moderator with a recognized SETA. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) frameworks, and assessment tools is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and strong organizational skills help facilitators engage learners and manage diverse classroom dynamics. These skills and qualifications are vital to ensure effective knowledge transfer, compliance with SETA standards, and support for learners' development in the workplace.
